Milton is best known for being a quaint town where everyone is a familiar friendly face. We are proud of our heritage and history. Milton is rich in small town stories and traditions. The legacy of yesteryears, and the wonderful citizens currently residing in Milton make it the charming town it is today. We are a small-town rural community and home to roughly 600 residents, 162 of which are veterans. Milton is a beautiful town; made for picturesque neighborhood strolls, and a friendly chat. There are pictures of the Graduating classes from the old Milton School, newspaper clippings, sections of the Old National Trail, and other memorabilia from the past; located at the Clerk's office. Stop in and take a trip down memory lane! We have a beautiful memorial dedicated to the former school, located on the previous grounds on State Road One. No matter where you go in Milton, Indiana, you'll always be greeted with a smile and a friendly face.
